The Apple Watch isn’t going on sale until next year, but already everyone from Wall Street analysts to luxury fashion executives is trying to handicap future sales of the ground breaking device. Among the finance set, estimates range from a few million to almost 40 million in the first year of sales. “The detail that went into the design, including the watch bands, is impressive and not fully appreciated yet,” UBS analyst Steven Milunovich wrote in his assessment of the watch. He sees 24 million sold in the first year and 40 million in the next year.

One of the most optimistic analysts, Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald, expects Apple will sell 37 million watches in the first year, outpacing the 20 million iPads sold in the tablet’s first 12 months. “We believe Apple Watch will prove to be a home run with the fastest, new product, first-year unit sales volume in the company’s history,” Fitzgerald said last month on CNBC.

BREAKING NEWS! Ebola-Infected Doctor Makes Miracle Recovery

The first person who contracted the disease has been discharged and is now fit to go home

Just days after a plea for the ZMapp drug was made on her behalf, the Nigerian doctor who got infected with Ebola is said to have recovered.

Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, a Senior Consultant at the First Consultant Hospital, got the disease after contact with Liberian- American, Patrick Sawyer. Vanguard reports that the doctor has now made a miracle recovery and has been discharged from the isolation center in Lagos.

US authorities warn that anti-ebola drug sent to Nigeria is a registered pesticide

PHARMACEUTICAL authorities in the US have warned that the new anti-ebola drug Nanosilver being sent to Lagos today by a Nigerian in the diaspora may not be medically suited for its purpose as it is registered as a pesticide.   Today, Nigeria is due to take delivery of the drug called Nanosilver  after a diasporan scientist decided to make it available in response to the growing spread of the virus across the country. However, the US drug regulator, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has refused to endorse the drug.   Erica Jefferson, an FDA spokeswoman, said she could not provide any information about the product referenced by the Nigerians. 

Nanosilver has been used as an antibacterial for centuries and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers it a pesticide.   Over recent days, the FDA has  warned about several products being sold online that fraudulently claim

Lagos State rejects anti-ebola drug Nanosilver opting for Zmapp as a patient recovers

LAGOS State government has rejected the anti-ebola trial drug Nanosilver made available by a Nigerian doctor in the US and opted instead to approve the Mapp Biopharmaceutical serum Zmapp to treat all infected patients. So far, four Nigerians have died from the deadly ebola virus disease (EVD) and a total of 12 are reported to have been infected by the virus. 

Desperate to address the trend, earlier this month, Nigeria's health minister Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, wrote to the US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) asking it to send samples of the experimental serum currently being worked upon that is believed to be a cure to ebola.   In response, a Nigerian doctor in the US sent samples of the drug Nanosilver to Lagos but the US drug regulator, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has refused to endorse the drug. It added that Nanosilver is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a pesticide.
