Colossus Gists: INHUMAN - Pastor charged with cutting toddler’s finger, seeks out of court settlement


A Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday fixed Nov.19 for report on settlement in a case of a pastor who allegedly cut off a finger of his neighbor daughter. The accused, Moyo Matins, who resides at No. 5 Oluomo St., Iwaya, Onike, Lagos, is facing a charge of causing grievous bodily harm on a two-year-old girl.
 
When the case was mentioned on Wednesday, Mr Emmanuel Bassey, counsel to the accused, told the court that parties in the suit had agreed to settle the case out of court.
Consequently, the Magistrate, Mrs Yewande Aje-Afunwa, adjourned the case to Nov. 19 for report on the settlement.
