Chevron Nigeria Limited is accepting applications for the position of Automation Advisor - Turnaround, EGTL Escravos.
Position Details:
This position is responsible for turnaround planning, execution and
commissioning of the Instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS)
and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) control systems, as well as
upgrading of control systems. The Automation Advisor will enhance the
reliability and functionality of plant control systems by establishing
basic and advanced process control philosophies and strategies as well
as troubleshooting and tuning of process control systems. This include
interfacing with Operations, Maintenance, Facilities Engineering, and
Major Capital Projects. The incumbent will ensure implementation of
programs and processes to meet Chevron's operational excellence
expectations. This position will mentor and develop less experienced
team members. Must be able to manage high complexity, high pressure,
fast-paced situations. Work schedule will be a rotational 28/28 or 14/14
position. Must be prepared to work extended hours/days during
Turnaround execution.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or other
equivalent technical certification. Advanced direct experience on
specified systems may be considered in lieu of educational
certification.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 10 years experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and
upgrading of control systems in the petrochemical/refining industry.
Other requirements include the following:
- Proven knowledge and experience in process control instrumentation, safety instrumention systems and fire and gas systems.
- Ability to independently work on:
- Yokogawa CS 3000 (DCS) / Foundation Field bus instrumentation
- Yokogawa Prosafe (SIS)
- Allen Bradley (PLC)
- Desmonstrable skills in Data Historian such as PI and ExaQuantum.
- Knowledge of Compressor Control Corporation (Anti Surge), as well as ManTurbo Turbolog desired
- Must understand Process Safety and be a strong team player
