Good news to all Android devices users still running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, as the long awaited BlackBerry Messenger "BBM app" for Android version 2.3.5 Gingerbread version is now available for downloading in Play Store. You can now enjoy pinging with your friends and family on BBM.
The BBM app was made available to high end Android devices from android 4.0 ice-cream and Apple ios devices.
As a result of this many users have no opportunity of installing BBM on their device as it was only available for limited Android devices. But in January 2014, we heard that BBM could soon be making its way to older Android devices still running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Towards the end of the month, we heard that its release would be soon and sure enough soon is correct as BlackBerry has officially released a new build of BBM that would target Android users still running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, so if you’re still holding onto a device that cannot be updated beyond Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread but would love to get your hands on the BBM app, you will be able to do so by heading on over to the Google Play Store for the free download or by visiting www.BBM.com from your Android Gingerbread Smartphone.
If you are using the leaked/unofficial version before it is better to leave them for this official version because it was released with more exclusive features, like: instant chats, voice calls, picture sharing, voice notes and more...
We’re excited to welcome Android 2.3 Gingerbread users in to the BBM community.
share your Pin and lets rock together.
